Bangladesh Anti Tobacco Alliance-BATA

Bangladesh Anti Tobacco Alliance-BATA is a well-built civil society network across the country in Bangladesh that includes about seven hundred local, regional and national organizations. BATA founded in October 9, 1999. 

BATA is strong civil society platform for tobacco control, in which about 700 organizations are working together.

BATA also recognized internationally and received World No Tobacco Award in 2001 from World Health Organization. BATA coordinator Mr. Saifuddin Ahmed also received World No Tobacco Day Award from WHO in 2006.

BATA formally formed 9 October 1999 & this date is celebrating as National No Tobacco Day since 2011.
